Guided Tour of Parma

Program

Parma: art, music and flavors of excellence

Elegant, refined and deeply rooted in its traditions, Parma captivates visitors with the beauty of its monuments and the world-renowned excellence of its cuisine. Accompanied by our licensed tour guides, you will discover a city where art, history and gastronomy come together in a rich and engaging experience.

The guided tour of the historic center begins with the magnificent Cathedral and Baptistery, masterpieces of Romanesque architecture. The Cathedral, with its medieval frescoes and the evocative Deposition from the Cross, preserves centuries of history, while the Baptistery, clad in pink Verona marble, amazes visitors with its symbolic painted cycles. A curious anecdote: the zodiac sculptures inside reflect the medieval vision of time and eternity.

The walk continues to the monumental Pilotta Palace, a symbol of Farnese power, housing treasures such as the Farnese Theatre, an extraordinary Baroque wooden theatre built in just nine months to impress an illustrious guest… who never actually arrived!

Alongside art, Parma is synonymous with gastronomic excellence. The tour may continue with a visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy and a prosciutto factory, where you will learn the secrets behind two world-famous PDO products. The experience concludes with a tasting, offering the authentic flavors of the region.

For those wishing to enrich the itinerary, it is possible to include a visit to Busseto, exploring the birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi and the evocative Villa of Sant’Agata, where the composer lived and created some of his greatest masterpieces.

An ideal itinerary for experiencing Parma with expertise, passion and authenticity, guided by our official professional guides.
