Program

Crossing the Prato della Valle we will arrive in Piazza del Santo, we will visit the inside of the Basilica of Sant’Antonio, one of the largest churches in the world. From Sant’Antonio, through the Via del Santo and the square dedicated to the mythological founder Antenor, we will arrive at the historic Palazzo del Bo, where we will have the honor of visiting the ancient and magnificent anatomical theater of the university.
We will make interesting stops in Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Frutti and Palazzo della Ragione continuing then to Piazza Eremitani. Of course, not to be forgotten, the frescoes by Giotto in the Scrovegni Chapel (reservation required, costing € 8.00 p/p) and the Church of the Eremitani.

DURATION: 2 hours without entrances
COST: For the 2h € 140.00 up to 30 pax. € 5.00 for each pax over 30. € 50.00 for each extra hour. For the full day, calculate double;
CANCELLATION POLICY: once the tour is confirmed, it will be possible to cancel it without penalty up to 11 days before. If cancelled from 5 to 10 days, 50% of the cost will be charged, if cancelled from 4 days to the day of the tour, a penalty of 100% will be applied.

The city of the Saint, a university city for 700 years, where Giotto and Giusto de Menabuoi worked as well as Pisanello, is the capital of the Venetian mainland culture, dynamic and modern, but ancient and cultured. Founded by the Trojan prince Antenor, fleeing from his destroyed hometown, Padua has evolved following the pressing rhythm of History, which has seen it involved in the foreground in every era. From a large commercial center in Roman times to a free medieval commune, it was a bargaining chip for Napoleon Bonaparte and found itself the scene of the Armistice of the First World War. A very important center of partisan resistance during the Second World War, it is today a modern city, home to one of the most prestigious Italian universities.
