An original and engaging itinerary that combines history, nature, and breathtaking views, ideal for those who wish to discover Verona from an unusual perspective. This urban trekking tour, led by one of our licensed tour guides, takes visitors along the ancient city walls, following an educational and panoramic route that reveals the historical and defensive evolution of Verona.

The tour begins at Ponte Pietra, one of Verona’s most iconic landmarks, and climbs up to the magnificent Castel San Pietro, offering one of the most stunning views over the historic center. From here, the route continues along the hillside paths surrounding the city, crossing green areas and scenic trails until reaching Porta Vescovo, one of the historic eastern gateways to Verona.

The itinerary is partly flat and partly hilly and can be easily adapted to the group’s needs. The maximum distance is about 12 km of easy walking on dirt paths, with a duration of approximately 3 hours, though shorter versions are available.

Along the way, visitors encounter sections of the city walls built during different historical periods: the Scaliger walls, the Venetian fortifications, and the later Austrian defenses. The guide highlights the different military strategies used over the centuries, offering insight into Verona’s strategic importance and defensive architecture.

The route also includes religious buildings that are part of the “Verona Minor Jerusalem” itinerary, providing a fascinating glimpse into the city’s spiritual heritage, often less known but deeply rooted in its history.

COST ADULTS: For 2 hours € 150.00 up to 30 pax. For 2 hours ½ € 175.00 up to 30 pax. For 3 hours € 200.00 up to 30 pax. €5.00 for each pax over 30. €50.00 for each extra hour.
STUDENT COST:  For 2h €150.00 1- 30 pax; €170.00 31-50 students; only with earphone rental; €5.00 for each pax over 50. €50.00 for each extra hour.  + €10.00 For electronic invoicing + €2.00 for stamp duty

CANCELLATION POLICY: once the tour is confirmed, it can be cancelled without penalties up to 11 days before. If cancelled from 5 to 10 days, 50% of the cost will be charged, if cancelled from 4 days to the day of the tour, a penalty of 100% will be applied
