RAFTING ON THE ADIGE “Classic” Excursion The excursion we propose corresponds to the urban stretch of the Adige (8.5 km), starting from the new center of excellence for river sports in Chievo, in front of the cycle path, and arriving at the Boschetto riding school. After the distribution of the nautical material, which consists of a life jacket and a paddle, the division of the participants into groups of 10/12 people and the explanation of the basic techniques of river navigation, the descent begins.

Each raft is led by a F.I.Raft (Italian Rafting Federation) river guide who will show you the most fascinating views of Verona admired from our unusual perspective, will teach you to paddle and will guide you through the waves that meet at some bridges. The presence of a teacher on board each boat is not required. There are three stops along the route to allow our stories about the ancient use of the river and the history of Verona’s hydrography and a visit to the Venetian river customs house in the Filippini area, where we have set up the Adige Museum. Starting from the last stop, we organize a fun race between the dinghies with a line start. The tranquility of the Adige River, our expertise, the result of many years of experience acquired on the most challenging waterways in Italy, and our front-line participation in federal activities are a guarantee of maximum safety and professionalism.

Our nautical base is located in the Chievo area, where the excursion begins, and is equipped with changing rooms, services, parking, a meeting room and a bar-restaurant. If the excursion is organized in the afternoon, the base is available as a support point for a packed lunch. We have tables, changing rooms and bathrooms (all included in the fee).

The Dogana fluviale dei Filippini, where the Adige Museum is located, is also available for a mid-journey snack.

If the activity is scheduled in the morning, tables and benches are available in the green space that we use at the landing point at Boschetto (no extra charge).

You can get there by taking bus number 11 (which passes by Piazza Brà and the FS station every 15 minutes) getting off in the Chievo area at the Scaligera Formazione stop. On holidays the bus is 95.
