Easter Monday Guided Tour in Verona – Monday, April 6th 2025

Program

Ninety minutes in the heart of one of Italy’s most beautiful cities, on the day when spring is already fully there.

On Easter Monday in Verona, the best way to experience the city is with a guide. Historic squares, iconic monuments and stories the city doesn’t tell those who pass through too quickly.

Verona on Easter Monday: why it’s the perfect time for a guided tour

Easter Monday turns Verona into a different city: slower, brighter, with that April light that makes every ancient stone look more alive. No summer chaos, no July crowds — just the city at its most authentic, waiting to be discovered.

This group guided tour is designed for those who want to go beyond a photo in front of the Arena and truly understand what they’re looking at. With an expert guide by your side, every square, every façade, every alley becomes a story.

You can book individually: the format is a group tour, but spots are open to anyone who wants to join.

What you’ll see: Verona’s historic centre in ninety minutes

The route covers the most significant sites of Verona’s historic centre, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.

Piazza Bra and the Arena di Verona The starting point is Piazza Bra, the city’s largest square, dominated by the Arena: a 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, one of the best-preserved in the world, once capable of holding up to 30,000 spectators. Today it remains one of Europe’s most celebrated open-air opera venues. From the outside alone, its scale is enough to take your breath away.

Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori The medieval and Renaissance heart of Verona, the two squares are connected by an arch and tell centuries of civic and commercial history. Piazza delle Erbe — the ancient Roman forum — preserves the Column of Saint Mark, the Madonna Verona fountain and frescoed palaces that look like paintings. Piazza dei Signori, more formal and austere, is the city’s noble drawing room, flanked by the Palazzo della Ragione and the Loggia del Consiglio.

Juliet’s House One of Italy’s most visited sites, with its famous Shakespearean balcony and courtyard where thousands of visitors arrive daily from around the world. The visit is from the outside, but with a guide, the myth of Romeo and Juliet — spanning history, literature and urban legend — takes on an entirely different depth.

The Scaliger Tombs A few steps from Piazza dei Signori, the Arche Scaligere are the funerary monuments of the della Scala family, lords of Verona in the 14th century. Gothic, elaborate, astonishing: they are among the most refined medieval sculptural works in Northern Italy — and one of those places many tourists walk past without realising what they’re looking at.
