Experience a fascinating journey into Medieval Verona with a guided tour led by a licensed tour guide, through alleys, squares and monuments rich in history. The itinerary begins at the Basilica of San Zeno, a true masterpiece of Romanesque art, with an interior visit featuring bas-reliefs, frescoes and ancient legends. Crossing the city, we reach Piazza Bra, where the medieval city walls recall Verona’s fortified past. In Piazza delle Erbe, the ancient Roman forum turned medieval heart of the city, stand the Palazzo del Comune, the Domus Mercatorum and the soaring Torre dei Lamberti, symbol of civic power. The tour continues to Piazza dei Signori, elegant and intimate, surrounded by the Scaliger Palaces and watched over by the statue of Dante Alighieri, father of the Italian language. The visit ends at the impressive Scaliger Tombs, a Gothic masterpiece and remarkable testament to the power of the Della Scala family. An immersive experience of history, art and medieval atmosphere.

ADULT COST: € 200.00 up to 30 pax. €5.00 for each pax over 30. €50.00 for each extra hour.

Entrances to the monuments not included

CANCELLATION POLICIES: once the tour has been confirmed, it will be possible to cancel it without penalties up to 11 days before. If cancelled between 5 and 10 days, 50% of the cost will be charged. If cancelled between 4 days and the day of the tour, a penalty of 100% will be applied.

Big importance Verona got during the Middle Ages, when it was the promoter of the Lombardian Ligue and later an advanced Lordships’ town with the Della Scalas. It is rich in Romanesque churches (St.Zeno, St. Lorenzo, Cathedral), gothic (St. Anastasia, St. Fermo) and of civil buildings (Palazzo del Governo, Pal. Della Ragione). This visit has been organized with pupils of Middle School in mind, but also for adultss who aim to learn about the Italian Medieval Towns.
